National Alliance of Youth Leaders (NAYL)
The National Alliance of Youth Leaders (NAYL) is
an alliance of young leaders in the Philippines that advocate for reforms and projects in education, voters’education, climate justice, freedom and rights on the Internet, youth empowerment and development, and other relevant societal issues.
Since its founding in 2014, it has humbly initiated several endeavours that opened opportunities for young leaders to showcase their passion and leadership abilities in forwarding relevant advocacies to mainstream public discussion. It has organized a number of national youth summits on the issues faced by college councils of state universities in the Philippines and on the education, opportunities, and challenges of the ASEAN Intergration, to name a few; has provided leadership trainings for young leaders; has conducted government-to-public services like satellite voters’ registration and voters’ education events; and has localized global campaigns for education in support of out-of-school children, among others.
Composed of mostly young leaders from the country’s top universities, namely the University of the Philippines, Ateneo de Manila University, De La Salle University, and University of Santo Tomas, this young organization has managed to worked competitively with private institutions and foundations as well as government bodies, such as the CHED, the COMELEC, and the National Youth Commission.
